How Much Do You Need?
A cubic yard covers approximately 100 sq ft at 3 inches deep, or 80 sq ft at 4 inches deep. One standard truck load = 21 cubic yards.
Quick formula: (Length × Width × Depth in inches ÷ 12) ÷ 27 = cubic yards needed. For example, a 40×25 ft area at 3" depth = (40 × 25 × 0.25) ÷ 27 ≈ 9.3 cubic yards.
